The headline finding: the Supplement Facts panel and the sales page describe two different formulas. Five of the six ingredients named in the marketing do not appear on the label at all.
Two Documents, Two Different Products
A Supplement Facts panel is a regulated disclosure. Marketing copy is not. When they disagree this sharply, that matters.
| Supplement Facts label | Sales page | |
|---|---|---|
| Active ingredients | Turmeric 4:1, turmeric 95% curcuminoids, Coleus Forskohlii, BioPerine | Glucosamine Sulfate, Chondroitin Sulfate, Boswellia, Turmeric, MSM, Bromelain |
| Overlap | Turmeric only. Five marketed ingredients appear nowhere on the label. | |
| Daily dose | 1 capsule | 2 capsules |
| Capsules per bottle | 30 | 60 |
| Shellfish | No shellfish-derived ingredient listed | Carries a crustacean allergy warning |
| Positioning | "Helps maintain a healthy inflammatory response" | "Eliminate joint pain", "rebuild cartilage" |
What the Supplement Facts Panel Says
Supplement Facts
Servings Per Container: 30
| Amount Per Serving | |
|---|---|
| Turmeric (Curcuma longa) root Extract 4:1 | 75 mg |
| Turmeric (Curcuma longa) root Extract (95% curcuminoids) | 30 mg |
| Coleus Forskohlii Extract | 15 mg |
| Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) fruit Extract (BioPerine®) | 5 mg |
Other ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), Gelatin, Magnesium Stearate. Daily Value not established for any of the above. Transcribed from the product label supplied with this project.
One capsule supplies 125 mg of active ingredients in total. For context, clinical trials reporting joint benefit from curcumin generally use 500 to 1,500 mg of curcuminoids per day. This label provides roughly 28.5 mg of standardised curcuminoids, plus whatever the 4:1 extract contributes.
The inclusion of BioPerine is a genuine point in the formula's favour — piperine substantially increases curcumin absorption, and leaving it out is a common formulation mistake. But better absorption of a small dose is still a small dose.
Note the gelatin in the capsule shell. The product is not vegetarian or vegan, and the sales page does not mention it.
Check these before ordering
- Blood thinners. Curcumin can increase bleeding risk alongside warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel, and similar. Coleus forskohlii may add to this.
- Blood pressure medication. Forskolin can lower blood pressure and may compound the effect of antihypertensives and nitrates.
- Any other prescription. BioPerine increases absorption of many drugs, which can effectively raise the dose you receive without changing what you swallow.
- Shellfish allergy. The two documents disagree on whether anything shellfish-derived is present. Get written confirmation from the manufacturer rather than guessing.
- Gallbladder problems. Turmeric can stimulate bile production and is generally not recommended with gallstones or bile duct obstruction.
- Surgery. Stop turmeric supplements at least two weeks before any scheduled procedure because of the bleeding risk.
The Three Things Actually in the Capsule
Turmeric appears twice as two different extracts, so there are four listed lines but three distinct ingredients.
Turmeric & Curcuminoids
105 mg combinedTwo turmeric extracts together supply 105 mg, of which roughly 28.5 mg is standardised curcuminoids. Curcumin is the best-researched natural anti-inflammatory there is — but trials showing joint benefit typically use 500 to 1,500 mg of curcuminoids daily, many times what is here.
Read the evidence →Coleus Forskohlii
15 mgThe formula's odd inclusion. Forskolin is researched mainly for asthma, glaucoma, and body composition rather than joints, and 15 mg is a small dose. It also lowers blood pressure, which matters if you take antihypertensives.
Read the evidence →BioPerine® Black Pepper
5 mgThe one ingredient doing exactly the job it should. Piperine dramatically increases curcumin absorption — the classic study found roughly a twentyfold rise. Its inclusion is the most defensible formulation decision on this label.

Defensible
- Supplying curcuminoids with an absorption enhancer that actually works
- General antioxidant and inflammatory-response support
- A once-daily routine that is easy to sustain
- A 60-day window in which to change your mind
Not supported
- Eliminating joint pain or curing arthritis
- Rebuilding or regenerating cartilage
- Replacing anti-inflammatory medication or physiotherapy
- Matching the curcuminoid doses used in published joint trials
- Delivering glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, boswellia, or bromelain

JointBrex FAQ
According to the Supplement Facts panel on the product label, one capsule contains turmeric root extract 4:1 (75 mg), turmeric extract standardised to 95% curcuminoids (30 mg), Coleus Forskohlii extract (15 mg), and BioPerine black pepper extract (5 mg) — 125 mg of active ingredients in total. The capsule shell contains gelatin.
This is the biggest issue with this product's marketing. The sales page describes a six-ingredient formula of Glucosamine Sulfate, Chondroitin Sulfate, Boswellia, Turmeric, MSM, and Bromelain. Only turmeric appears on both. Glucosamine, chondroitin, boswellia, MSM, and bromelain do not appear on the Supplement Facts panel at all. A Supplement Facts panel is a regulated disclosure and marketing copy is not, so the label is the more reliable document — but you should verify against a physical bottle before ordering.
The label says one capsule daily with an 8 oz glass of water. The sales page says two capsules daily before a meal. Follow the label on the bottle you actually receive.
The label panel we transcribed says 30 capsules. The bottle artwork and the sales page both say 60. These cannot both be true, and it changes how long a bottle lasts and what you are paying per day. Confirm before ordering.
The sales page carries a crustacean shellfish allergy warning, which would normally relate to glucosamine derived from shell. No glucosamine appears on the Supplement Facts panel. If you have a shellfish allergy, do not rely on either document — contact the manufacturer and confirm in writing before taking it.
No. The label lists gelatin in the capsule shell, which is animal-derived. The sales page does not mention this.
Possibly. Curcumin can increase bleeding risk alongside warfarin, aspirin, and other anticoagulants, and it can affect how the liver metabolises a range of drugs. Coleus forskohlii may lower blood pressure and can add to the effect of antihypertensives and nitrates, and may increase bleeding risk. BioPerine increases the absorption of many medications, which can raise their effective dose. Speak to a pharmacist before starting.
No, and no dietary supplement is. The label states it is manufactured in an FDA-registered facility, which describes the premises rather than approving the product.
No. The sales page language about eliminating joint pain, rebuilding cartilage, and targeting the root causes of joint deterioration describes treatment of disease, which no dietary supplement may lawfully claim. The label itself uses the far more modest and accurate phrase: helps maintain a healthy inflammatory response.
The 6-bottle kit is $294 with free US shipping, which we confirmed on the BuyGoods checkout. Smaller quantities are inconsistent across the sales page's three pricing tables — 1 bottle appears as both $158 and $89, and 3 bottles as both $207 and $177. Verify at checkout.
Check the Label Against the Claims
The single most useful thing you can do before buying this product is compare the Supplement Facts panel with what the sales page says is inside. Our pricing page has the current kit totals and the discrepancies laid out.
